Painting art together is a wonderful bonding opportunity for parents and children. Learn the basic techniques used to paint and decorate ceramic pottery then collaborate and create! Our artists/instructors will show a variety of examples and demonstrate techniques for writing names with puff paint. This is a fun and relaxing activity for all members of the family.

Halloween – Ceramic Jack O’ Lantern - ($14) Sat. Oct 17 10:30 AM

Painting pottery is fun, especially at Halloween. Paint a ceramic Jack O’ Lantern to add to your Halloween decorations this year. Our artists/instructors can help you try creative techniques or you can apply some of your own techniques. Many choices of colors are available. The studio evokes inspiration and is a fun place to paint pottery in the Fall season.

Christmas 2009

Painterly Pottery Holiday Ornaments- (2 for $12) Sat. Dec 12 10:30 AM

Girls will learn the basic tools, techniques, and process of painting ceramic bisque pottery. Choose TWO ornaments from a large selection of festive shapes just in time to custom paint and give to someone special. There is something very special about hand-made gifts during the holiday. Pottery Ornaments are fun to make and look great hanging on the Christmas tree.

Snowman or Christmas Tree Dish – ($12) Sun. Dec 13 1:00PM
Age Level: All Levels

Girls will learn basic techniques and the process of painting ceramic bisque pottery. Choose a snowman or Christmas tree dish to paint for the holiday. You can paint it for yourself or as a gift for someone special. Our artists/instructors will show sample pieces as well as guide girls individually with pottery painting techniques and colors. We will demonstrate how to use puff paint to give your pottery a unique, personalized touch. Our snowman and Christmas dishes can be used for display or to hold candy, fudge, etc.

Winter January 2010

Pendants with Rope- (2 for $12) Sun. Jan. 24 1:00PM

Make a custom necklace pendant and wear it around your neck with pride. This is a quick and simple pottery project. Create your own design, add your name, or transfer the Girl Scout Logo onto a charm. Our artist will show you some examples help you with a variety of techniques to help you create your charms any way you please.

Winter February 2010

Valentines Heart Shaped Dish or Box and Tag Along/Tots - ($14) Sat. Feb. 6 10:30 AM

Have fun with colors and design while painting your own heart shaped dish! Learn about tools and the process of making and painting pottery. Techniques including brush, color layering, and puff paint application. Our artists will demonstrate how to apply unique “tag along” designs to your dish.

Spring April 2010

Have fun painting a pottery planter. Our artists/instructors will help inspire ideas as well as assist with various pottery painting techniques. Play a part in nature and plant a seed in your personalized planter. All planters come with starter seeds and instructions on how to care for your new plant.

Mother’s Day Vase – ($14) Sat. May 1  10:30 AM

Let mom know how special she is by painting her a Mother’s day Vase. Our artists will explain and demonstrate how to layer spring colors that will compliment any bouquet. Create your pottery vase just in time to fill with fresh flowers for mom.

Earth Day Plate with Small Animal – ($19) Sat. Apr. 17 10:30 – 12PM

Express your awareness and appreciation of the earth by designing an “Earth Day Plate”. Learn how to attach or “fuse” a small animal figurine of your choice to your earth day design.  Use your dinner plate at meals or display on the wall. All of our paints and glazes are non-toxic.

Painterly Pottery Creative Techniques – ($14) 2010

Have fun learning a variety of techniques for painting your own pottery.  Open selection allows girls to choose from over 50 bisque pieces (see website for examples) then let their creativity flow! Girls will learn about materials and process of making pottery with opportunity to handle clay along with demonstration. Age Level: All Levels
